3. Despite belonging to a Muslim family, Benazir Bhutto was educated in Catholic schools in Pakistan. At the age of 16 she enrolled herself into Harvard University's Radcliffe College.
Harvard formed the very basis of her belief in democracy. Benazir's four years at Harvard were the happiest days of her life.
As the Prime Minister of Pakistan, she even bestowed a gift to the University to display her appreciation for Harvard.
Benazir went on to the Oxford University as well.
Here she was elected President of the Oxford Student's Union. She was the first Asian woman to be elected to this elite debating society.
During her Oxford days, she would drive to London and Stratford-on-Avon for a Shakespeare play.
