Maryam Nawaz Sharif's life story is intriguing enough. In October 1999, Gen Pervez Musharraf ousted her father's government and sent the entire family into exile to Saudi Arabia.
Those were the most difficult days for the family. By then Maryam was 26 years old. She would visit holy places to console and encourage herself and longed to return home.
On her exile in Saudi she once said,” I didn't allow exile to embitter me and used that time to pick up strength from adversity. Only the sufferer knows what suffering means”.
Her exile shaped her into a different being. She matured emotionally and mentally.
