Maryam Nawaz ardently admires her father. She is proud of his rich legacy and desires to carry it forward. Maryam's siblings Hussain and Hassan, haven't shown a direct interest in politics so far.

She graduated from Convent of Jesus and Mary School and completed her master's from Punjab University. After this she went on to complete her Ph. D from Cambridge University.

Since her childhood, Maryam armed herself to enter the world of politics. She wrote a thesis on ‘Post 9/11 radicalization in Pakistan' to earn Ph D degree.

Her topic itself revealed her desire to understand the political structure of Pakistan.
