PM Modi, President Biden hail 'new chapter' in Indo-US relationship | PICS

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first in-person meeting with US President Joe Biden at White House. 

US President Joe Biden said, "Mr Prime Minister, we're going to continue to build on our strong partnership", as he sat down with India's leader Narendra Modi in the Oval Office for their bilateral meeting on Friday.

"I thank you for the warm welcome accorded to me and my delegation. Earlier, we had an opportunity to hold discussions, and at that time you had laid out the vision for India-US bilateral relations. Today, you are taking initiatives to implement  your vision for India-US relations," PM Modi tells US President Joe Biden

"Today we begin a new chapter in Indo-US relationships. Four Million Indian Americans everyday making America stronger," US President Joe Biden tells PM Modi 

President Joe Biden holds notes as he meets with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the Oval Office of the White House.

"There is much to be done in trade. Trade will be an important factor in India-USA ties in the coming decade," PM Modi tells Joe Biden.

"In 2014 and 2016, I got an opportunity to talk to you. You had shared your vision for Indo-US relations. Your vision for India-US relationship was very inspiring," PM Modi tells US President Joe Biden

Following the big meet, PM Modi is scheduled to attend the Quad Summit with Biden and his Australian, Japanese counterparts Scott Morrison and Yoshihide Suga
