California turned orange with an ominous glow as more than 25 wildfires burn across the state. The pictures have left Twitterati shocked.

While many Twitter users called the scene beautiful, many others were horrified about the destruction the wildfires have made in the state.

The orange sky was the aftermath of the wildfires which resulted in thick smoke that choked the air. many people were forced to evacuate.

On Wednesday, a similar situation or rather worse was recorded in Oregon, where skies turned a hue of dark red.

As per the report, 14,000 firefighters are battling 28 major wildfires across California

Hundreds of homes and other buildings are believed to have been damaged or destroyed, fire officials said.

The wildfires have taken over regions of Los Angeles, San Bernardino and San Diego counties.
