The chase turned out to be cakewalk for India thanks to their skipper Rohit Sharma who smashed his seventh World Cup century. He stunned Afghanistan scoring 131 runs off just 84 deliveries with 16 fours and five sixes to his name.

Thanks to Rohit Sharma's knock and Virat Kohli's yet another unbeaten half-century in the chase, team India managed to chase down 273 runs in just 35 overs. This is their second win in as many matches while Afghanistan have now lost both their encounters of World Cup 2023.
