Pressure is immense on captain Rohit Sharma in the absence of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja. His own form is also under the scanner after throwing his wicket away in the first innings. However, the fact that Rohit has a great record in Vizag in Tests should give him a lot of confidence.

Rohit Sharma was seen having an animated discussion with head coach Rahul Dravid during the net session. It seems that the duo was discussing about the playing XI for the second Test. India are thin on experience at the moment and the headache is about whom to play with potential debutants likely for the encounter in Vizag.

With KL Rahul and Jadeja ruled out, either Rajat Patidar or Sarfaraz Khan will make their Test debut in the second Test against England. Going by the order, Patidar is likely to get his chance first. Also, even Sarfaraz Khan can make his debut if India decide to go with only three spinners including Kuldeep Yadav at the expense of Mohammed Siraj.

Jasprit Bumrah showcased his skills on a turning pitch in Hyderabad snapping up a total of six wickets across two innings. He was exceptional in the Test match that India unfortunately lost. However, as a senior pro, he will have to lead from the front with the ball yet again and pick wickets up front.

Though Kuldeep Yadav was seen batting in the nets, his main role, if he plays, will be to pick wickets. With Jadeja not playing, there is every possibility that India will include a specialist spinner in Kuldeep at the expense of Mohammed Siraj who had a limited role to play in Vizag.
