It was his record-extending tenth Australian Open title and 22nd major title overall, tying Rafael Nadal's all-time record total of men's singles titles.

It was his record-extending eighth Australian Open title and 17th major singles title overall. With the win, Djokovic also regained the world No. 1 singles ranking.
