India vs West Indies, 1st Test, Day 1: Ajinkya Rahane only saving grace as India end at 203/6

India received a few early blows as the team was reduced to 25/3, with Mayank Agarwal, Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli, all departing cheaply.

KL Rahul and Ajinkya Rahane then smoothened the early blows, but the former nicked one to Shai Hope on 44, as India lost four wickets on 93.

Ajinkya Rahane completed his half-century, forging a 72-run partnership with Hanuma Vihari (32).

Kemar Roach starred for the Windies, dismissing three wickets. He also dismissed Vihar, before Shannon Gabriel sent Rahane back on 81.

At stumps, Rishabh Pant remained unbeaten on 20, while Ravindra Jadeja was not out on 3 as India ended on 203/6 in 68.5 overs.
