India vs South Africa, 2nd T20I: India cruise to 7-wicket win

India registered an easy seven-wicket victory against South Africa to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.

Quinton de Kock was the star of the South African innings, scoring 52 off 37 deliveries.

Virat Kohli took a stunning diving catch to dismiss de Kock, bringing India back into the game.

Deepak Chahar was the pick of the bowlers, taking two wickets for 22 runs in four overs.

Temba Bavuma took charge after de Kock's fall, but after his dismissal on 49, Proteas' innings failed to take off again as they ended on 149/5.

Rohit Sharma departed cheaply, but Shikhar Dhawan made a decent return to form as he scored 40.

The hero of the night, however, was captain Virat Kohli, whose 72* steered India to win. He also went on to overtake Rohit Sharma to become the highest run-getter in T20Is.
