England were superb throughout the Test match too but they faltered in the second innings with the bat. They also had India reduced to 174/7 at one stage but couldn't skittle the Indian team soon. Even then the 46-run lead looked decent given the conditions and a few more runs with the bat would've helped.

Coming back to the chase of 192 runs, Rajat Patidar bagged a six-ball duck rounding off a rather poor start to his Test career. After mustering an impressive 30-odd in the first innings of second Test, he hasn't scored runs as expected. It remains to be seen if the team management gives him one more Test or Devdutt Padikkal gets an opportunity to showcase his skills in the middle order.

Jurel and Gill might have taken the Indian team over the line but it was the duo of Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal who got the team off to a good start upfront adding 84 runs. The partnership is the highest since 2008 when Virender Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir had 117 runs in Chennai, also against England.

It has been a complete team effort from India in this series as despite big players not being available at different junctures, other players including debutants have stepped up. This series win is even more special as India were 0-1 down and England kept coming at them aggressively every time in every Test that followed.
