Ajinkya Rahane's 188- Rahane followed the Indian captain's knock with a masterful hundred in the same innings of the match. He walked in at No.5 after Pujara's wicket fell. Rahane's 381 ball 188 along with Kohli's knock, helped India register a massive total of 557/5 declared.

Cheteshwar Pujara's 101- After a brilliant first inning performance against the Kiwis, the Indians followed with a similar trend in the second innings. This time, the other batting pillar Pujara raised his hand and scored an unbeaten 101 off 148 balls to help India reach 216/3 declared.
