Former skipper Joe Root hasn't been at his best in this series so far. He has looked elegant but hasn't scored big and the surface in Rajkot certainly gives him a chance to go big with the bat in the third Test. Root will be eager to make it count soon especially after throwing his wicket away in the last game.

Ben Foakes has been truly exceptional behind the stumps. He has taken brilliant catches behind the stumps so far in the series and there is no doubt that he will be taking the gloves in the last three Tests as well. Foakes, however, will be looking to score some runs as well having got out early in both Tests.

England skipper Ben Stokes is set to join the elite list of players to play 100 Test matches. He has led the side well and has already done well with the bat. One can say that he got two snorters from Jasprit Bumrah but Stokes will be keen on making his 100th Test memorable.

James Anderson is 41 years young and the man still hasn't done picking up wickets at will. In the second Test, he was superb keeping the batters on the tenterhooks when it mattered the most for England. Anderson will be looking to pick wickets consistently in the third Test as well with the rank turner unlikely to be on offer.
