IPL Season 9 skippers at a glance

In the ninth edition of the Indian Premier League, two previous teams have been demobilized and their place is being taken by the two new teams. The 2 new teams are: Rising Pune Supergiants and Gujarat Lions

MS Dhoni: he will head the new IPL franchise Rising Pune Supergiants. Before this, for 8 consecutive years, MSD was the captain of Chennai Super Kings.

Virat Kohli: The star batsman of Team India is the skipper of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). This time it would be wonderful to see Team India’s Test captain leading the RCB, who has been in sensational form in the shortest format this year.

Suresh Raina: He is the captain of Gujarat Lions. He was earlier in the CSK. Raina has not performed well during the recent matches but it would be great to see him leading a new team.

David Miller: The South African cricketer is the captain of Preity Zinta's team Kings XI Punjab.

Rohit Sharma: The Mumbaikar is the skipper of Nita Ambani owned Mumbai Indians. He has led Mumbai Indians won two tiles ever since being appointed as skipper in 2013.

Gautam Gambhir: He was made the skipper of Kolkata Knight Riders in 2009 and since then he lifted the trophy twice.

Zaheer Khan: He has been appointed as captain of the Delhi Daredevils for the 2016 IPL season. Zaheer joined Daredevils in 2015.
