Jasprit Bumrah gave a brilliant start to India, bowling two consecutive maidens and removing skipper Karunaratne. He ended up with 3/37.
Angelo Mathews' ton steered Sri Lanka to a respectable score of 264/7, after the side struggled at 55/4.
Rohit Sharma continued on his excellent form, as he hit his third consecutive hundred, and his 5th of the tournament. (A record)
