Kareena, Aamir acknowledged globally

Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was awarded for his TV show Satyamev Jayate by media organisation America Abroad in Washington on October 28, 2013. Aamir, who was applauded for highlighting a variety of social issues including female foeticide and medical malpractices on the show, received his award from Douglas B Wilson, former Assistant Secretary of Defence for Public Affairs.

Actress Kareena Kapoor was honoured in the House of Commons by an Asian ethnic weekly for her contribution to the global entertainment industry in London on Wednesday (October 30, 2013).

Talking about the award, Kareena said, UK has been one of my most favoured destinations. There has always been special relation between India and the UK and over the years the bond has become stronger.

During the event, Kareena also recalled that her great grandmother was British and her father in law, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, captained Oxford cricket team.

Kareena looked stunning in her golden chudidar at the event.
