The six-lane flyover in Punjabi Bagh is now open for public. Around 3.45 lakh people will use it every day. The chief minister said the 1.12km stretch will bypass three red lights, bringing relief to commuters travelling between Azadpur, Raja Garden, Paschim Vihar, Najafgarh, and ESI Hospital.

The flyover is the 39th in the last ten years which has been inaugurated after the AAP government came to power, Delhi CM Atishi said at the inauguration.

The flyover will complement the Moti Nagar flyover, which was made double-lane in March this year under the leadership of then-chief minister Arvind Kejriwal, Atishi said.

According to reports, the construction of this 1.12-km long six-lane flyover is estimated at Rs 312 crore and will save approximately 11 lakh liters of fuel annually.
