On Day 2 of the Mahakumbh 2025, over 3.5 crore devotees took Amrit Snan. Collectively, over 5 crore devotees have taken a holy dip in Mahakumbh. With this enthusiasm, the actual footfall would cross the estimated influx within the first 10 days.

Devotees were seen chanting 'Har Har Mahadev', 'Jai Shri Ram' and 'Jai Ganga Maiyya' while jumping into the confluence of two holy rivers. Besides various ghats were also completely packed on Makar Sankranti.

On Day 2, the auspicious Makar Sankranti festival marked the first Amrit Snan with over 3.5 crore people taking a holy dip. The administration made proper arrangements for the day.

The Amrit 'snan' dates include January 14 (Makar Sankranti), January 29 (Mauni Amavasya), February 3 (Basant Panchami), February 12 (Maghi Purnima), and February 26 (Maha Shivaratri). Among them, Mauni Amavasya is likely to witness a footfall of over 5 crore.
