Mahakumbh 2025: Over 1.25 crore take holy dip at Triveni Sangam on 14th day of Prayagraj Kumbh Mela
Mahakumbh Mela 2025: The overall footfall in the Prayagraj Kumbh Mela has risen to nearly 11.50 crore within the first 14 days. Sunday marked the third-most populous day of the Kumbh Mela after Makar Sankranti and Paush Purnima.
On the 14th day of Mahakumbh (January 26), over 1.25 crore devotees took a holy dip at Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj. The day saw a resurgence in footfall which was reduced to nearly half a crore in the last couple of days.

The crowd is expected to swell further with an estimated 10 crore devotees anticipated to take the dip on Mauni Amavasya, as per the officials. The spike in devotees was seen due to the weekend and nearing Mauni Amavasya.

Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav also took a holy dip at Sangam today. The total snan figures include 10 lakh Kalpavasis who are staying at the Banks of Sangam for a month. The total number of snan to date has crossed 11.47 crore.

Meanwhile, drone shows are also being organised depicting tales in the ancient Hindu scriptures. The magnificent night view makes Mahakumbh even more mesmerising.

The Integrated Control and Command Centre (ICCC) has been activated to monitor crowd density and ensure that no excessive gathering takes place at the Sangam Nose.

The administration is making war-like efforts for the upcoming Mauni Amavasya as it would be the biggest public gathering till now. The police, NDRF and SDRF personnel, safety boats, navigation support, ICCC, arrangements have been made.
