  • With the beginning of the new year, the cold in Jammu and Kashmir has intensified. The biting cold has made life even more difficult for the people in the valley. In many areas, the temperature has dropped to sub-zero levels. Especially in regions like Srinagar, Shopian, Pahalgam, and Gulmarg, the nighttime temperatures have plummeted significantly. Meanwhile, in colder areas like Leh and Kargil, the situation has become even harsher.

Additionally, prominent tourist destinations in Kashmir, such as Pahalgam and Gulmarg, have recorded temperatures of -7.6 degrees and -8.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
