Isha Ambani gets engaged to Anand Piramal: See pics

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani's and Nita Ambani's daughter Isha Ambani got engaged with Anand Piramal, son of business tycoon Ajay Piramal on Monday.

The engagement reception was attended by who's who of the world of Bollywood, sports and business.

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani personally received guests for the much-celebrated engagement party.

A graduate in psychology and South Asian studies from the Yale University, Isha is currently pursuing an MBA at Stanford Graduate School of Business.  

Isha Ambani is also one of the board of directors of Jio and Reliance Retail.

In April 2016, Isha  Ambani launched AJIO, an online fashion retailer, at the 2016 edition of Lakme Fashion Week. 

She oversees the branding and management segments of AJIO, which is a subsidiary of Reliance Retail.

Anand proposed to Isha at a temple at Mahabaleshwar.

Anand Piramal is the son of corporate magnates Ajay Piramal and Swati Piramal. Anand holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from University of Pennsylvania and a Masters in Business Administration degree from Harvard Business School.

Anand Piramal founded two startups, a healthcare startup, Piramal eSwasthya and Piramal Realty, a real estate startup. Both are now part of the $4 billion family-run conglomerate, Parimal Enterprises.

In 2015, he raised $434 million from Goldman Sachs and Warburg Pincus for the growth of the company. This is one of the largest private equity investments in real estate in India ever.

Isha and Anand will reportedly tie the knot in early December.
