Chunav Manch, India TV's mega conclave on upcoming Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh is presently underway in Bhopal.

In the one-day mega conclave of India TV, political leaders and other prominent personalities from Madhya Pradesh are sharing their views and thoughts over various issues that will determine the outcome of the Assembly elections.

Top-ranking political leaders from both the ruling BJP as well as the opposition Congress are participating in India TV Chunav Manch - Madhya Pradesh.

Apart from CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, top leaders like Narendra Singh Tomar, Sambit Patra, Kailash Vijayvargiya, Shobha Oza and others will be debating over a wide range of issues impacting Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections.

People of Madhya Pradesh will vote on November 28 to elect 230 members of the state Assembly. Counting of votes will take place on December 11.

Launching a scathing attack on Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, former state minister Computer Baba on Saturday accused Madhya Pradesh government of cheating saints of the state.Participating in Chunav Manch  India TV’s mega conclave on Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018- Computer Baba alleged that the Shivraj Government was dharma virodhi (anti-religion). Vowing to uproot the Shivraj government in upcoming assembly elections, Computer Baba said that the BJP government only wore the mask of Hindu and saffron government.

Rejecting all charges levelled against Shivraj Singh Chouhan, MP minister Akhileswaranand Baba said that the Madhya Pradesh chief minister was a religious and sensitive man.

The MP minister countered Computer Baba’s claims of not fighting any elections by reminding him of the newspaper reports that quoted him as saying that he was ready to contest if Shivraj Chouhan asked him to do so.

Congress spokesperson Shobha Oza lashed out at the Shivraj Singh government over its complete inefficiency towards ensuring women safety in the state.

Participating in Chunav Manch-India TV’s mega conclave on Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2018, Oza alleged that there has been a significant rise in the rape and sexual harassment cases under Shivraj Singh government in Madhya Pradesh.

Accusing Shivraj Singh government over its inability to convert its schemes to actions, Oza said; "Shivraj Singh Chouhan just announces schemes, but when our government comes to power, I assure that we will work towards successful implementaton of the schemes".

Rubbishing reports about differences between him and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya on Saturday called himself a 'troubleshooter' of the party.

Responding to question on IndiaTV's Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections special event 'Chunav Manch' in Bhopal, Vijayvargiya said talks about him having any difference with Shivraj were completely false. 

“Farmer suicide is unfortunate, but such incidents happened under the Congress rule as well,” said BJP national vice president Prabhat Jha, at a debate on upcoming Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections, at India TV’s daylong conclave ‘Chunav Manch’ in Bhopal.

Prabhat Jha was accompanied by Congress’ Arun Yadav as co-panelist.

Congress has always fought elections with unity. Rahul Gandhi is our leader, elections in MP will be under his leadership, Arun Yadav said.

Responding to questions from India TV Editor-in-Chief and Chairman Rajat Sharma on the show - Aap Ki Adalat - Shivraj Singh Chouhan put down to rest any talk about him eyeing the PM's post.

"The BJP will not only win Assembly elections but it will get an overwhelming majority. I hope you'll invite me in Aap Ki Adalat when BJP forms government for the fourth time in Madhya Pradesh," Shivraj Chouhan said.
