Delhiites woke up to yet another morning of thick smog with the air quality remaining in the 'Severe' category for the third consecutive day. With pollution reaching alarming levels, the central pollution watchdog imposed restrictions under the third stage of the GRAP in Delhi-NCR.

    The air quality in Delhi-NCR is deteriorating rapidly, becoming increasingly "toxic" as winter sets in. Pollution levels are rising in parallel with the drop in temperature, with areas such as Jahangirpuri, Okhla, Mundka, and Sarai Kale Khan all recording AQI levels above 400.

  • To combat rising pollution levels in Delhi-NCR, the GRAP Stage 3 has been implemented. Under this phase, diesel vehicles registered in Delhi will be prohibited from operating. This restriction applies to key regions, including Delhi, Gurugram, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, and Gautam Buddha Nagar.
