India has a diverse flora and fauna across its length and breadth. From tigers to birds and from reptiles to elephants, the country's ecology is filled with the biggest number of species. These are protested in wildlife sanctuaries or reserves. here are 5 such reserves that are lesser known.

  • Tal Chappar Sanctuary (Rajasthan): Situated on the border of the Great Indian Thar Desert, Tal Chappar is home to migratory birds like harriers, eastern imperial eagle and tawny eagle along with species of reptiles. Bkackbuck is the key attraction of the sanctuary.

Asian elephant, gaur, Sambar deer, clouded leopard, Indian leopard, and Asian golden cat are other key attractions in the reserve.

Eaglenest is notable as a birding site due to the vast variety, numbers and accessibility of species.
