The bike is powered by a 1690cc, air cooled, Twin Cam103 V twin engine, which is mated to a six speed transmission. The V twin is capable of producing a meaty 135.6Nm of torque at 3500rpm. To highlight its touring nature, an 18.8 litre hand crafted fuel tank is employed on the bike. Further adding to the appeal is a Tommy Gun exhaust that produces a thundering exhaust note.

The basic design of the bike is like any other Harley, but the details that distinguish it are the forward mounted foot controls, double headlamps, a drag style handlebar, meaty front tyre and a sleek, two up seat, which all add up to give the Fat Bob a mean and aggressive stance.
