An honorary Lieutenant Colonel MS Dhoni who has currently taken rest from his cricket duties posT World Cup 2019 will reportedly join battalion in Jammu and Kashmir and carry out duties including patrolling.

Dhoni was awarded the honorary rank of a Lieutenant Colonel in the year 2011. A few of his pictures in uniform has gone viral on internet. This isn’t the first time the former captain of the Indian cricket team was seen in uniform.

MS Dhoni has taken a two-month break from cricket to proceed with the 106 TA Battalion (Para) for being with the Battalion from 31 Jul-15 Aug 19. He became a qualified paratrooper after completing 5 parachute training jumps from Indian Army aircraft at the Agra training camp.

Previously, MS Dhoni walked in as an Army personnel when he received the Padma Bhushan Award in the year 2018 from President Ram Nath Kovind.

MS Dhoni was seen walking towards the dais wearing the army uniform in ease.
