    According to a family member Soumyajit Dey, "From 1906, Durga Puja is being celebrated in Dey bari with full fervour. Our ancestor Dinanath Dey started the puja, and we are the fifth, sixth generations who are organising puja now."

    Another family member Srota Dey said, "Though we lived in Kolkata, but since my childhood, I came here away from Kolkata to participate in the family's Durga Puja. This is the time, when I can met with my family members, brothers and sisters and its much more attractive than the theme based Durga Puja."
