New Year is just around the corner. From planning parties to preparing for resolution, people are waiting with bated breaths for the New Year. However, the New Year is also a time when people take part in different customs and rituals. These are believed to bring good luck for the coming year.

  • Netherlands: This country brings the New Year by taking a dip in the sea early in the morning. You can see the city of Amsterdam to be extremely vibrant on New Year. People gather at Scheveningen Beach to take a dip and it is believed that doing so can bring good luck.

It is believed that doing so can bring good luck. After eating the grapes, people take part in dancing and singing.
