Feet are the most vital part of the human body. They help us to move around the world. Everyone likes to keep their feet smooth and clean.
It's been proven that little changes in the way you take care of your feet could have a positive effect during this monsoon season.

It’s important to keep feet clean and fungus free during the humid monsoon season. To do that you need to take a bucket full of lukewarm water and add a little antiseptic lotion i.e Dettol in it and dip your feet for 15 minutes. Then wash your feet with anti-bacterial soap and pat dry it.

After drying the feet, add some talcum to your feet and let it dry by sitting under a ceiling fan. Wear socks if you are going out. Keep them dry anyhow.

Do not wear high heels or shoes during the monsoons. Instead wear slippers and flip-flops which are nowadays available in a trendy designs and colours. Besides making you comfortable in the season, they add a new style statement to footwear collection.

Do not roam around bare-foot. Always wear slippers or any kind of open footwear which would let air pass through to avoid smelly feet.

Avoid stepping in rain water. Apply antiseptic gel afterwards, to avoid any bacteria.

Go for a fish spa foot massage during the monsoon. It will clear the dead cells around the feet and give better results.

To get rid of the cracks in feet scrub your feet with a scrubber or pumice stone to clear the dead skin cells, then moisturise it with any lotion. You can do this twice a day depending how cracked your feet are.

Nails of the foot should always be cut short during the monsoon. Long nails come with risk of fungal infections due to dust and dirt gathered under the nails.

Change the socks daily or also twice a day if they become wet.

Make a mask with Multani Mitti, Neem, Turmeric and Lavender Oil by adding some water. Apply the mask on the feet and leave it for half a hour. Wash with water and massage the feet with Olive Oil.
