It is the longest day of the year in the northern hemisphere and has been dedicated to spreading awareness about India's age-old practice of yoga. The United Nations declared this day as Yoga Day after Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, proposed it in the assembly. All the countries joined this campaign.
