Heavy snowfall across the Kashmir Valley has brought joy to locals and tourists but also disrupted daily life and transportation. The Srinagar-Leh highway and the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway were closed, while snow-covered streets made driving difficult.

Since Friday, moderate to heavy snowfall has been recorded across Kashmir, marking the season's first snowfall in Srinagar and other plains of the valley. The wintry spell has added a magical touch to the region.
