Ashok Pathak is originally from Siwan in Bihar. The family came to Faridabad in Haryana for work. His childhood was spent in poverty. When his uncle used to go to sell cotton, Ashok also started helping him from childhood. Ashok said in an interview that he used to go many distances to sell cotton by keeping a bundle of cotton on a bicycle. He used to earn about a hundred rupees every day from this work. Due to this, one day he also watched a movie in a theatre and was moved by the art.

Meanwhile, when he gradually grew up, he also got trapped in many vices due to bad company. He got fond of things like gutkha, paan and tobacco. In the meantime, Ashok's family shifted to Hisar for work. And then Ashok also joined a college after school. His journey of transformation started from here. Ashok said that whatever he is today, the biggest contribution to this education he got in college.

In fact, Ashok, who was fond of singing and films, started participating in theatre in college time. Whether it was cultural fests or theatre plays, Ashok was always at the forefront of everything. Meanwhile, Ashok also started dreaming of going to Bollywood and acting. The actor revealed that when people heard that he wanted to act, their reaction was something like 'What a joke, you have this face, you don't have the looks, what will you do by going to Bollywood?' Even then Ashoke was determined that he would do something in the entertainment industry.

Meanwhile, he got forty thousand rupees to perform a play in the college festival and he reached Mumbai with this money. The special thing was that as soon as Ashok reached Mumbai, he passed many auditions and started getting work. Ashok said that within a month of going to Mumbai, he had more than one lakh rupees in his account with ads and some small side roles.

Ashok was not sure about the Panchayat web series at first, so he initially refused to play this character. But later after a friend's insistence, he played the character of Binod and today this character has become immortal. Everyone openly praised Ashok Pathak's acting in the role of Binod. His dialogues from the series are known to people by heart and the actor will always be loved for this character.
