  • Ashok Pathak is originally from Siwan in Bihar. The family came to Faridabad in Haryana for work. His childhood was spent in poverty. When his uncle used to go to sell cotton, Ashok also started helping him from childhood. Ashok said in an interview that he used to go many distances to sell cotton by keeping a bundle of cotton on a bicycle. He used to earn about a hundred rupees every day from this work. Due to this, one day he also watched a movie in a theatre and was moved by the art.
