The Accidental Prime Minister trailer launch: Anupam Kher, Akshaye Khanna and others attend

The Accidental Prime Minister features Anupam Kher as ex-PM Manmohan Singh. Meanwhile, Akshaye Khanna will be essaying the role of Sanjaya Baru, who served ex-PM Manmohan Singh’s media advisor between May 2004 and August 2008.

The biographical political drama is based on a book titled The Accidental Prime Minister by Sanjaya Baru. 

In the film, Anupam has stepped into ex-PM Manmohan Singh's shoes.

During the trailer launch, the complete cast and crew of The Accidental Prime Minister was present. 

At the trailer launch, Anupam said, ''The biggest challenge for me was the voice. It is the most difficult role I have ever done because everyone knows Manmohan Singh very well.”

Directed by Vijay Ratnakar Gutte, The Accidental Prime Minister is slated to release on 11 January 2019.
