PHOTOS: Wrapped in Tricolour, Shashi Kapoor cremated at State Funeral

Veteran actor Shashi Kapoor breathed his last at Kolkilaben Ambani Hospital yesterday around 5.20 pm. The 79-year-old actor passed away after a prolonged illness. Kapoor was recently taken to the hospital for chest infection. Though the actor was unwell for a few hours, his sudden death has come as a huge shock to his family and industry colleagues. His State Funeral took place in Mumbai on Tuesday with three-gun salute. Several Bollywood celebrities paid their last tribute to the legendary actor, who was wrapped in Tricolour for State Funeral.

Amitabh Bachchan, who penned down an emotional message on his blog for Shashi Kapoor, made sure he was a part of the funeral. Amitabh in his blog admitted that Shashi Kapoor was ‘terribly handsome’.

Son Abhishek Bachchan also paid his last respect to the iconic Bollywood star.

An emotional Shah Rukh Khan was also spotted at Shashi Kapoor's last rites.

Ranbir Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan shared an umbrella in the torrential rains and move towards the cremation.

Sanjay Dutt was among the first few who reached the residence of Kapoors in Juhu. The actor looked quite saddened by the demise of the multi-talented scion of the First Film Family of Hindi cinema.

Rishi Kapoor arrived at his late uncle Shashi Kapoor’s residence in Juhu. The actor who was shooting for Rajma Chawal in New Delhi has rushed back to Mumbai to be with his family after the demise of the veteran actor-producer.
