Shahid and Mira's first child is called Misha, and she was born on August 26, 2016. The couple often shares adorable photos of Misha, and the internet can never get enough of her photos.

Speaking at the India Today Woman Summit 2017, Shahid had said that he had an empathetic pregnancy when Mira was carrying Misha. "It's nice to say 'we' were pregnant, because it gives you a sense of participation and responsibility," he had said, adding that even though it was his wife who was in labour, he felt it too.
