Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol's 'My Name is Khan' turns 13: Take a look at film's iconic scenes

My Name Is Khan, is a 2010 social drama film directed by Karan Johar and written by Shibani Bathija. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan as Rizwan Khan, an autistic Muslim, and Kajol as Mandira, his Hindu wife with a son from her previous marriage.

The film was also screened as part of the 60th Berlin International Film Festival's official selection. My Name Is Khan won many accolades and awards when it released in 2010. Like always, Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol's chemistry was much loved by the viewers.

Set in the United States, the plot revolves around Rizwan (SRK), who faces Islamophobic discrimination after the September 11 attacks. This discrimination leads to the murder of his stepson, in a racist fight against fellow collegians. His wife, Mandira, Sameer's mother, blames Rizwan, and he consequently sets out on a journey to meet president of the country and absolve himself.

While waiting in a crowd at UCLA to meet President Bush, he says, "My name is Khan and I am not a terrorist!", repeatedly. He is arrested due to misinterpretation as "I am a terrorist." Rizwan is interrogated as a terrorist suspect but is released after a media campaign by Indian student reporters Raj, Komal and Bobby Ahuja, who prove his innocence by revealing his attempts to inform the FBI about Faisal.

As the film turned 14, Karan Johar also took to his Instagram and wrote, "A super special film. A super special team. A spectacular time #13YearsOfMNIK."

More than the SRK-Kajol chemistry, or SRK's brilliance, 'My Name Is Khan' goes down in history for its script and filmmaking.
