Kannada actress-turned-politician Ramya is making to the headlines these days for all the wrong reasons.
The actress is being criticised for her recent remark praising India’s arch enemy Pakistan.
Ramya had recently stated, “Pakistan is a good country, not hell. People are just like us. They treated us very well”.
She had given this remark in response to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar’s statement that “going to Pakistan is like going to hell”.
Indeed, Ramya’s statement has invoked a controversy against the actress with many people slamming her for her remarks. In fact, a sedition case has also been filed against her for praising Pakistan, but the actress has refused to take back her words.
