The music composer duo Sajid and Wajid were the sons of famous tabla player Ustad Sharafat Ali Khan. 

Sajid Wajid made their debut through Salman Khan's film Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya (1998). After this, in 1999, he gave music in Sonu Nigam's album Deewana, the songs of which--Deewana Tera, Ab Mujh Raat Din Aur Kadar Pyaar Hai became hit.

They later went on to compose many albums for Salman's films, including Chori Chori, Hello Brother, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Partner, Wanted and Dabangg franchise. 

Wajid also did playback for Salman in chartbusters like 'Mera He Jalwa,' 'Fevicol Se' and for Akshay Kumar in 'Chinta Ta Chita Chita' from the film 'Rowdy Rathore,' among others. He recently co-composed Salman's songs 'Pyaar Karona' and 'Bhai Bhai,' which the actor released on his YouTube channel.

Sajid Wajid has worked in many songs as lyricist including Baki Sab First Class Hai (Jai Ho), Fevicol Se (Dabangg 2), Le Le Maja Le (Wanted).

Wajid along with his brother Sajid served as a mentor on singing reality shows 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa 2012' and 'Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Singing Superstar.' The composer duo also scored IPL 4 theme song, 'Dhoom Dhoom Dhoom Dhadaka,' which was sung by Wajid.
