The friendship between Karan Johar and superstar Shah Rukh Khan has been intact ever since his directorial debut through the film 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' in the year 1998. On the actor's birthday, Karan shared a throwback photo and called his journey with him the best phase of his career.

KJo often treats fans with some pictures from the archives and this one featured his father Yash Johar with some Bollywood A-listers including Raj Kapoor, Sadhana, Anand Bakshi, RK Nayyar, and Rajendra Kumar.

Yet another throwback picture shared by the filmmaker in June 2018 where he remembered his father and wrote, "He taught me the strength of goodness... .the overemphasis on success and even the positives of failure.... I miss seeing him but I talk to him everyday! He is my morning prayer."
