Akshay Kumar shared a close bond with his mother. On the occasion of mother's day, the actor shared an adorable picture with his mom Aruna Bhatia.

The actor had rushed to Mumbai from the UK after learning that his mother was admitted to the ICU of Mumbai's hospital. He was shooting for a new film in the UK for the past couple of weeks.

Akshay never missed a chance to make her mother feel special. Be it birthdays or another special occasion, he used to share photos with his mom. 

In this picture, Akshay can be seen all smiles as he posed with his mother Aruna Bhati and sister Alka.

Akshay had once shared a video of his mother sitting in a wheelchair as the actor takes her for a stroll in London. He wrote, ''Juggled shoot to spend a few days with mom in London. No matter how busy you are with life and growing up, don’t forget they are also growing old...so spend time with them while you still can ‬''.

A day before his mother's demise, Akshay took to his social media handle to thank well-wishers for praying for his mother's good health. ''Touched beyond words at your concern for my mom's health. This is a very tough hour for me and my family. Every single prayer of yours would greatly help," he wrote.
