Lata Mangeshkar shared a closed and beautiful bond with sister Asha Bhosle. 

Lata Mangeshkar and sister Asha Bhosle always shared a very warm bond with each other. The legendary singers have always been each other's pillar of support in the industry.

Asha Bhosle used to share many throwback photos with 'didi' Lata on Instagram and treat fans with their precious moments together.

Especially on birthdays, Asha Bhosle used to dedicate a special post for Lata Mangeshkar and even gave sneak peeks to the birthday celebrations.

Asha Bhosle has always sang praises for her elder sister as she supported the family when their father died. Lata Mangeshkar was not even 14 when she started earning for the family.

Lata Mangeshkar has three sisters- Asha Bhosle, Meena Khadikar and Usha Mangeshkar. All four sisters shared a close bond with each other.

While Lata Mangeshkar was an introvert, sister Asha Bhosle was an extrovert and would charm everyone with her personality. It is said that while Asha looked up to Lata when it comes to singing, she used to be insecure that she will be overshadowed by the harmonious voice of her sister.

In 2013, the Nightingale of Bollywood Lata Mangeshkar felicitated her younger sister and legendary singer Asha Bhosle with the Pandit Hridaynath Lifetime Achievement Award.

"It is the award named after my brother and presented by my elder sister. That is far more precious than all the money and awards in the world,” Asha had said
