Kapil Sharma to Vir Das, stand up comedians who turned actors

Kapil Sharma, who is known as the King of Comedy in the television industry, made his Bollywood debut with Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon in 2015. On the other hand, the popular comedian Vir Das made his Bollywood debut with a cameo in the 2007 release Namastey London. 

Biswa Kalyan Rath started doing stand-up comedy in 2015 and then went on to make his film debut with Brahman Naman in 2016.

Kanan Gill rose to prominence with the YouTube series Pretentious Movie Reviews along with Biswa. He made his acting debut in Sunhil Sippy's Noor in 2017, alongside Sonakshi Sinha.

Danish Sait started as a radio jockey, then forayed into stand-up comedy. In 2018, he made his film debut with the Kannada film Humble Politician Nograj. 

Varun Grover is a popular stand-up comedian and a national award-winning lyricist. He made his acting debut with Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet in 2015. 

Mallika Dua is one of the most loved stand-up comedians in the country. She made her Bollywood debut with the 2017 release, Hindi Medium.
