Veteran actor Girish Karnad was a part of many critically acclaimed films.

He received many awards for his tremendous work in the film industry including the Padma Shri in 1974 and the Padma Bhushan in 1992.

Samskara: Girish Karnad was also a part of path-breaking Kannada film Samskara.

Malgudi Days: Apart from the films, the veteran actor also played prominent role in TV serials, Malgudi Days was one of them.

Ek tha tiger: Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the lead, Girish Karnad played a major role of Raw Chief in the film. He played the character named Dr. Shenoy.

Tiger Zinda hai: The sequel of film Ek Tha Tiger released in 2017 also managed to make a mark on the audience. The actor received praise from critics for his part in Tiger Zinda Hai.

Shivaay: The actor was also a part of Ajay Devgn starrer film Shivaay, released under the thriller genre. The film managed to win the 64th National Film Award for Best Special Effects.

Chalk n Duster: Juhi Chawla and Shabana Azmi starrer film is based on the journey of two teachers. Girish Karnad played the character named Manohar Sawant.
