Devdas is considered one of the most celebrated movies of Bollywood and always tops the list of iconic movies of the industry. While Shah Rukh Khan played the role of Devdas, Madhuri played Chandramukhi and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan played Devdas’ love interest, Paro.

The Bhansali directorial was a cinematic marvel with revelry of dance and music, and a tragic love story splashed with myriad emotions.

The film was inspired by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay's 1901 novel.

Starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit, Devdas was one of the most expensive films that Hindi cinema had seen until then.

In 2002, Devdas was the top-earner of the year making Rs 41.66 crore in the domestic market, those days.
