Ankita Lokhande reaches late actor Sushant Singh Rajput's residence in Mumbai (IN PICS)
The untimely demise of 34-year-old actor Sushant Singh Rajput has sent shockwaves through the country. He ended up his life after suffering from depression on June 14.
Sushant became a household name when he appeared in Balaji's show 'Pavitra Rishta.' He played the role of Manav opposite actress Ankita Lokhande and soon their off-screen chemistry started getting love from their fans. Sushant and Ankita dated for six years before calling it quits in 2016.
After his shocking death, many searched for Ankita's response over social media. The actress was seen outside Sushant's residence in Bandra with her family.
Just like everyone else, Ankita was also seen heartbroken and was supported by Sandeep Singh who took her inside. Previously, talking about her reaction, Pavitra Rishta actress Prarthana Behere told TOI, "She is devastated and crying like hell, but one needs to understand everyone had moved on in their life. News sunne ke baad woh wahin atki paddi hai."
Ankita looked in a broken state and was not in a condition to talk.
After Ankita and Sushant's breakup, both moved on in their respective lives. Ankita is now in a relationship with businessman Vicky Jain.
Bollywood actress Kriti Sanon, with whom Sushant has worked in the film 'Raabta' hit headline for their rumoured relationship for a couple of months. She reached Vile Parle Crematorium to attend the last rites of the actor on Monday.
Sushant was rumoured to be dating actress Rhea Chakraborty and the couple was to get married this year. She bid Sushant a tearful goodbye during his cremation that took place at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle, Mumbai.
Sushant was in depression for which he was also taking treatment from the Hinduja Hospital. The official statement of Rhea Chakraborty will be recorded in the case soon but the time when the same will be done is still unknown. The actress even reached the Cooper Hospital with her two family members where the mortal remains of the actor were kept.
