New Delhi: Actor Amrish Puri's eternal identity of being best villian is a gift for Bollywood industry. His legendary roles are still remembered by cine buffs with great respect. Not only in Hindi cinema, he had also worked in Hollywood movie like Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (1984). The legendary actor was born on 22 June, 1932. He died on 12 January, 2005, as after suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome which later caused cerebral hamorrhage. Ashraf Ali: Amrish played a role of cruel father of Sakina played by Ameesha Patel in the blockbuster movie Gadar-Ek Prem Katha. As an influential man, he differentiated between Hindu and Muslims but on the other side his own daughter fell in love with a Sikh. Abundance of disputes occured but in the end he realised his mistakes and allowed his daughter Sakina to stay with her husband played by Sunny Deol.

Balraj Chauhan: In Nayak, Amrish Puri played the role of a corrupt CM. The strategies he opted in the movie to insult Anil Kapoor and even plan a murder, brought curiosity among audience to watch it with concentration.
