Aamir-Kiran, Sushmita-Rohman, Samantha-Chaitanya: Celebrity couples who called it quits in 2021

While many Bollywood couples got married in 2021, stars like Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, Sushmita Sen and Rohman Shawl, Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya, Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik among others decided to part ways.

In a shocking turn of events, actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya had announced their separation this year. The duo got married in Goa in 2017 and after four years of togetherness, they decided to call it quits.

Bollywood superstars Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced divorce after 15 years of their marriage in July. In a joint statement, the duo described their 15 years of togetherness as 'beautiful' during which they shared a 'lifetime of experiences, joy and laughter'. They also have son Azad together.

Sushmita Sen announced in December that she has called off her relationship with model Rohman Shawl after dating him for three years. "We began as friends, we remain friends!!  The relationship was long over…the love remains!!" she said.

Four More Shots Please actress Kirti Kulhari had also announced separation from her husband Saahil Sehgal. "A simple note to let everyone know that my husband Saahil and I have decided to separate. Not on papers, but in life. A decision that's probably harder than the decision of "being with somebody", because coming together is celebrated by everyone you love and care about," she had written.

Singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello left everyone heartbroken when they announced their separation after two years of dating. They said that though their "romantic relationship" is over, they "will continue to be best friends."

Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik's break-up was one of the most controversial. It was said that the supermodel broke up with the singer after he allegedly struck her mother Yolanda. While the duo hasn't announced it yet, it is rumoured that they aren't together anymore. Gigi and Zayn have been in an on-and-off relationship since 2015. They welcomed their first child together in September 2020.

Reality TV star Kim Kardashian had filed for divorce from her rapper husband Kanye West this year. The duo had been married for about seven years and has four children together.
