The best original score (music and/or lyrics) written for the theater has been won by "Hadestown," Anaïs Mitchell.
Rachel Chavkin won the Tony Award for the best director of a musical for "Hadestown."
Ali Stroker won the award as the first actor in a wheelchair to ever win a Tony Award. She got the award for her role in "Oklahoma!"
Stephanie J. Block won Tony Award for Best performance in a leading role in a musical for "The Cher Show."
Andre DeShields won first-ever Tony Award for his role in "Hadestown.
The best revival of a play was won by "The Boys in the Band" by Mart Crowley
The Best costume design of a musical has been won by Bob Mackie, "The Cher Show"
