Biggest Bollywood box office flops of 2013

'Matru Ki Bijli Ka Mandola' as a political satire did not work at the box office this time. It was a Vishal Bhardwaj potboiler which crashed and even its star cast did not work for the storyline.

'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai Dobara' was another flop of the year. Though 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbaai' was a hit movie, the director could not make out whether it was the star cast or the storyline that sank the film without a trace.

'Aatma' was a horror movie tried by Bipasha and Nawauddin Sidiqqui for the first time. But their horror did not reach out to the cinegoers and the crowd did not turn up to watch it as well.

'Ghanchakkar' was a comic suspense that was directed by Rajkumar Gupta and was produced by Ronnie Screwwala. It bombed at the box office.

As Ajay Devgn dared to remake 'Himmatwala' he was shown thumbs down by the audience by not accepting the new remake of the movie and for all the cast and crew, it was a bad news of the year.

Akshay Kumar's biggest movie of the year 'Boss' did not prove a boon for him this year. Though it was promoted on a huge platform the hero centric movie did not work.

Another attempt for remake this year was by Priyanka Chopra and a newbie Ram. They acted in the remake of Zanjeer but definitely were unable to recreate that Big B magic in the story that left the audience uninterested.

'Ek Thi Daayan' casting Konkana Sen, Imran Hashmi, Huma Qureshi and Kalki Koechlin in the lead also crashed badly at the box office.

'Inkaar' starring Arjun Rampal and Chitrangada Singh did not work. It was a pitfall in the direction career of Sudhir Mishra and a commercial loss for producer Viki Rajani.

Though Ranbir Kapoor has given multiple hits since he has started his career, he also faced a big loss at the box office with 'Besharam' His character and the storyline of Besharam was definitely not what the audience expected him to do.
