Multiple arrests at Agartala Railway Station in past
Notably, this is not the first time that undocumented Bangladeshi nationals have been nabbed at Agartala Railway Station. Earlier on July 1, 11 Bangladeshis, including 5 children and 6 women, were arrested from the railway station for entering the country without any valid travel document. On suspicion, 11 persons were detained at the platform and taken to Agartala GRP police station for interrogation. During interrogation, they revealed that they all came from Bangladesh without any valid documents. Accordingly, they were arrested for violating the Indian Passport Act," Officer in Charge (OC), Agartala, GRP police station, Tapas Das said. With due consideration, the arrest of these 11 individuals, back then, had augmented the arrest of Bangladeshi nationals in three days to 22.
